Calexo was started by a group of friends dedicated to creating opportunities for artists to push boundaries, experiment with new forms of expression, and connect with a wider audience.

Friction is a manifestation of that goal.

We created Friction to give DJs a chance to play and experiment with sound and to delight the crowd.  With stunning graphics, a THUMPING sound system and Calexo available at multiple bars, we had hundreds of people smiling from ear to ear.  

Club Chow, Shaun J Wright and Mike Servito performed for over 7 hours to a sold out crowd who didn’t want to leave when the lights came on at 5 AM!

It was our biggest and most fun activation to date (we are still buzzing from the energy!) and after seeing what a smash hit it was we are looking forward to bringing Friction to a city near you.

We created interactive installations, sampled and sold drinks and most importantly danced until our knees gave out with a couple hundred of our closest friends.  This is why we created our alcohol alternative company; to give our community more ways to get together and celebrate music, art and new friends.  Thank you to the many many people who worked hard to make this possible!
